Master the
art of
offshore navigation

At Offwatch Labs, we help you build the technical skills and strategic mindset required for modern offshore navigation. Through focused coaching and real-world application, we help you understand weather and build better navigation strategies, so you can make better decisions under pressure.

Our mission

Offwatch Labs (OWL) exists to make high-quality offshore knowledge accessible to sailors who want to grow with intention. Instead of relying on scattered experience or chance mentorship, we provide structured, professional training that builds real competence by simplifying complexity, strengthening decision-making, and raising the overall standard of modern offshore racing. When sailors learn together, they don’t just improve individually, they elevate the performance of their entire team.

Our vision is to become the trusted development platform for the next generation of offshore sailors - a place where young, ambitious talent can build a reliable skillset, and where professional teams look for sailors they can trust on high-performance race boats. By offering a clear pathway from dinghy sailing into advanced offshore programmes, Offwatch Labs aims to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity and help shape the future of the sport.

Joshua Weber is a Munich-based offshore sailor and navigator with a background in boatbuilding and over a decade of experience on the water.

After transitioning from foredeck to navigation in 2020, he has since navigated the TP52 Red Bandit through major international regattas, including victories at Copa del Rey, Giraglia, and the Rolex Middle Sea Race.

His work combines technical expertise, strategic decision-making, and a hands-on approach to offshore navigation.
